Recipe: butternut squash curry by Little spice
The weekly newsletter supports simple, healthy cooking for our CSA members. In seasons past we've sent out weekly, emailed newsletters to CSA members. Now anyone will be able to access the nutritional tidbits, fun fact about chickens, or super awesome brussels sprouts recipe with a click of the mouse.
Each newsletter starts with a story from the farm (usually musings/questions from the farm crew or our customers that we research and compile in some combination of real world facts and on-farm observations). We also include a list of the items and descriptions of each fruit or vegetable in the week's CSA share along with cooking tips, storage tips, and recipe ideas.
Lastly we include a recipe that uses at least one, but usually two or three of the items in the week's CSA share. We almost always test the recipes ourselves, and seek out recipes that are mostly vegetable based and simple to prepare. Check out this recipe from Little Spice that we have been eating 1-2 times per week to use up the last of the butternut squash and spinach filling our winter kitchen.
